Starting a Resolution (or several): A New Year at Lerner

‘Tis that time of year, folks. I don’t know about you (no, really…who are you? What’s your deal? Why are you reading this? Is it because you’re my mother?) but I’m determined to keep my New Year’s resolutions this time around. If there’s anything more depressing than Minnesota in December–other than Minnesota in February–it’s the idea that there’s no room in life for improvement.

And now that I’m back in the office after the holiday hiatus, I’m finding that Lerner is full of inspiration for achievable goals. After all, what I love about Lerner is its capacity to grow and improve from one year to the next, building on past accomplishments and turning mistakes into possibilities. So here’s my to-do list for 2014, summed up by a helpful sampling of upcoming Lerner Publications titles:

Aka “Read more.”

But not too big a risk.

Even kindergartners can do it.

Tell me more, child.

So this is volleyball, right?

Just don’t expect me to feed your cat.
