What is Nonfiction November?
Nonfiction November is our way of bringing the excitement of nonfiction into classrooms, libraries, and homes everywhere. Each school day this month, we’ll highlight a different nonfiction book with a read-aloud video that you can share with students and readers of all ages. From incredible biographies and captivating history to awe-inspiring science and nature, these videos are carefully selected to spark curiosity and foster a love for reading true stories.
What Will You Receive?
When you sign up to join our Nonfiction November celebration, you’ll receive a weekly email every Sunday throughout the month of November. Each email will include:
- A link to a content landing page with that month’s read-aloud calendar.
- Daily read-alouds to share with your readers, aligned with the school week.
- Additional resources such as downloadable eSources.
These resources are designed to be flexible and easy to use, so whether you’re teaching in the classroom, running library programming, or homeschooling, you’ll have fresh content to share each day!

Why Celebrate Nonfiction?
Nonfiction books introduce readers to real-world people, places, and events, helping them build knowledge and develop a deeper understanding of the world. Through nonfiction, students can explore fascinating facts, dive into inspiring life stories, and discover the marvels of science, history, and more. Nonfiction November is the perfect way to introduce young readers to all that nonfiction has to offer!
