The Creators
Lisa Wheeler and Barry Gott have been an unstoppable pair since the first Dino book released in 2007. Learn more about both author and illustrator below.
Lisa Wheeler

Lisa Wheeler began writing for children professionally in 1995 when she sold her first story to Humpty Dumpty magazine. Over fourteen years and over twenty-five books later, Lisa is living her dream. “I love the world of children’s books,” she says. “I love everything about it, even the smell!” Lisa has won several awards in the course of her career, including the Texas Bluebonnet award, the Michigan Mitten Award, the Missouri Building Blocks award, and the 2008 Theodore Seuss Geisel Honor. Lisa currently lives in Michigan.
Barry Gott

Barry Gott wrote and illustrated humorous greeting cards at American Greetings for several years, before leaving in 2002 to illustrate children’s books full-time from his attic studio in Cleveland, Ohio. His books include the Dino-Sports series by Lisa Wheeler and Holler Loudly by Cynthia Leitich Smith. He has begun venturing back into the outside world to visit schools and libraries. Barry has 1 wife, 2 kids, and 3 pets. His hobbies are eating potatoes and wasting time on the internet
