Welcome to the end of summer, and in some areas of the country, back to school time. September
September hosts African-American Music Appreciation Month, National Safety Month, National Caribbean-American Heritage Month, National Suicide Prevention Month, Classical Music Month, National Deaf Awareness Month, German-American Heritage Month, National Guide Dog Month, National Hispanic Heritage Month, and National Honey Month as well as Read a Book Day (September 6), Labor Day (September 7), International Day of Peace (September 21), and Comic Book Day (September 25), in addition to Rosh Hashanah (begins September 18) and Yom Kippur (begins September 27).











October
October holidays include World Teacher’s Day (October 5), National Coming Out Day (October 11), and Halloween (October 31). It’s also TeenTober, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and National Bullying Prevention Month.
