You guys, it’s here! Baseball season has arrived. There’s so much to love about this season, but here are a few of my personal favorites:
1. The Minnesota Twins Home Opener Celebration we often have here at Lerner. We all get decked out in Twins gear, enjoy a lunch of hot dogs and sandwiches, and—if it’s warm enough—we might even step outside for a good chat and lots of laughter with our colleagues in the sun.
2. The food at Target Field. Watching our Twins play at the ballpark just wouldn’t be complete for me without some aloo gobi from Hot Indian finished off with a nice cool scoop of sea salt caramel Talenti gelato. (Hey, no one said you always have to eat peanuts and Cracker Jacks while watching baseball!)
3. The music at Target Field. Sure, there’s a baseball game going on, but there’s all kinds of other entertainment too. My favorite is when they throw Minnesota music into the playlist at the park. Everything from old-school Prince to Atmosphere (check out this great Twins ad featuring the latter) gets me dancing in my seat.
4. Last but not least, this guy (shown here on the cover of our Amazing Athletes bio of good old #7):
Happy Baseball Season, all, and GO TWINS!!!
