Lerner Publishing Group Launches Android eReader App

Lerner Digital™ eReader App Presents More Than 3,000 eBooks for Android Devices

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Lerner Publishing Group announced today the launch of the Lerner Digital™ eReader App for Android devices. With more than 3,000 eBooks available across age levels, interests, and genres, the Lerner Digital™ Android eReader App allows educators, parents, and readers to easily select, download, and read from among Lerner Publishing Group’s sizable eBook collection, which includes eBooks from highly reviewed and award-winning nonfiction series and single titles to highly illustrated and designed picture books and graphic novels, to chapter books and young adult novels.

“Our new eReader App enables children, parents, teachers, and librarians to experience our books in new ways leveraging Android devices” said Terri Soutor, executive vice president of marketing and digital products, Lerner Universal Corporation. “We wanted to make our complete eBook collection accessible on Android devices, which was in direct response to the evolving needs of our school and library customers.”

Customers with a Lerner Digital™ account may log-in, download, and read previously purchased eBooks within the digital ”My Bookshelf,” which can be viewed by thumbnail cover images or more complete book details, and the digital bookshelf may be searched or filtered by category, age, or other common attributes.

“Given the importance of digital literacy in the Common Core State Standards and in our daily lives, it’s important that children have access to exceptional digital content that makes use of the best that technology can offer to enrich teaching and learning,” said Adam Lerner, president and publisher, Lerner Publishing Group. “With our eBooks now available on both Android and iPad®, I’m encouraged by the promise of enabling digital literacy in schools, and I’m thrilled that our books are now more mobile and more accessible than ever before.”

The Lerner Digital™ Android eReader App was developed in partnership with Impelsys, a global leader in providing electronic content delivery solutions. The app is available free in the Google Play Store.
