Lerner Fashion Week!

With all of the buzz about New York Fashion Week, we’ve decided to host our very own Lerner Fashion Week here on the blog. However, our fashion week won’t be filled with the latest styles from huge designers. Nope! Our fashion week will be filled with historical looks and trends from our new series Dressing a Nation: The History of U.S. Fashion.

If you love fashion (or history) as much as we do, then you’ll definitely want to enter our contest to win the complete set of books from our Dressing a Nation series! To enter, just leave a comment below or Retweet this message and you’ll be entered to win: “RT to win! I love @Lernerbooks Fashion Week on the Lerner Books Blog http://www.lernerbooks.blogspot.com #contest!” We’ll announce the winner here on the blog next Monday, September 19.

Now, without further ado, here is Lerner fashion tip #1: Buckskin basics! Below are a few tips on how to turn your buckskins into dresses, breechcloths, shirs, and even leggings!

Check back here tomorrow for Lerner Fashion Week Tip #2 where we discuss rugged fashion for rugged men!
