I’ve been pondering what hat I would wear to the royal wedding on Friday, since we all know that the British royals love their millinery. Toward that end, it’s amazing what you can find online by simply googling the keywords “royal hats.”

I’m not invited to the wedding, of course. All the same, as a fashion hound, I do think about these things. And when everything is said and done, I really only have one hat that’s stylish and elegant enough to even consider wearing to such an event. I bought it (above, bottom row) in Florence years ago and have worn it on only a few occasions.

On the other hand, maybe an occasion such as the royal wedding would require a brand new hat. Recycling an old one is surely rather gauche. I’ve only got two days left to find one….!
