Tweet Tunes: Contest Time Again

By Domenica Di Piazza, Editorial Director, TFCB

Although I’m not a tweeter myself (yet), I get a real kick out of the creative ways in which people fuss with Twitter posts. For example, I was inspired a couple years ago by an article in the New York Times food section to apply the Twitter aesthetic to recipes. Try condensing a recipe to 140 characters or less. It’s tough (or would that be “tuff” or “tuf” or “tf”?)!

My favorite opera blogger (NSFS) recently posted a very amusing clip of singer/songwriter Josh Groban (among other genres, he performs “operatic pop”) singing Kanye West tweets (see YouTube clip below). It’s the sort of stuff my 13-year-old neighbor LOVES.

Wonder what a physics, biology, or chemistry experiment or a book report might look like as a tweet. If any of our followers out there are willing to give this a try, let us know! Send your tweet to @lernerbooks and we’ll post the best examples we receive.
