Got Charts?

By Carol Hinz
Editorial Director, Millbrook Press

I’m a big fan of charts, schedules, and spreadsheets. Without them, I’m not sure how I’d know where a project is at a given moment or when it needs to be done.

In my office, I have what I affectionately call my wall o’charts. Here is a photo showing just a portion of that wall.

charts

Yes, this is a terrible cell phone photo, so you can’t see much in the way of details, but I think my love of spreadsheets is still evident. Even in this digital age, I need those schedules close at hand so that I can refer to them early and often throughout the day. If any readers have other suggestions for how they keep track of schedules, I’d love to hear them!

Wow–you are organized! I have a legal pad with a sticky note for each day. If it doesn't get done one day, it gets moved to the next. The sticky notes rarely move in the other direction, unfortunately!

Sticky notes–clever! In addition to my charts, I also have a to-do list, and I just love checking things off the list.
