Millbrook published Guess What Is Growing Inside This Egg, written and illustrated by Mia Posada, in 2007. Recently I learned that Fukuinkan Shoten Publishers is releasing this book in Japan.

For even more fun, here’s the cover of the Spanish-language edition we published in the U.S.:In case you’re not in the mood for guessing games, I’ll tell you that the egg on the book’s cover is a penguin egg. And the eggs on the sample spread are spider eggs. Bonus fact: baby spiders are called spiderlings.
