Tattooing Science

image

By Domenica Di Piazza, Editorial Director, TFCB

Lately my colleagues (authors and editors alike), independently of one another, have been sending me links from a collection of science blogs on the Discover magazine website. The photo above is from an entry about scientists and their tattoos in a Discover blog called The Loom, by Discover contributing editor and columnist Carl Zimmer. This photo is of the famous Darwin finches in a butterfly configuration on the shoulder of a developmental biologist.

The Loom tattoo entry includes a wide range of images of really cool tattoos. When you click on each of the photos, you get more information about the tattoo image and the scientist who sports it.

Take a peak, and read some of the other Discover blog entries while you’re at it. And check in next week for more from TFCB!
