A Few of My Favorite Blogs

I love blogs. In fact, the number of blogs I read is probably a little ridiculous. I read friends’ blogs. I read family members’ blogs. I read blogs on random subjects that I find personally interesting. And then there are the blogs I read for work. It keeps me pretty busy.

I thought I’d share a few of my favorite blogs. And since I suspect you might not be quite as captivated as I am by the antics of my family members’ kids, I’ll stick to publishing-related blogs. Here’s a sampling:

I.N.K. (Interesting Nonfiction for Kids)
This great blog offers news about kids’ nonfiction straight from the pens (or should I say keyboards?) of those who are writing it. It’s fascinating to hear nonfiction authors tell all about their craft.

In the Pages …
A youth services librarian in Orange City, Iowa, maintains this blog, which is packed with book reviews that I find professionally useful—and also just plain fun!

Read Roger
Read Roger features the “rants and raves” of the editor in chief of the review journal the Horn Book. It’s well worth checking out.

Vintage Kids’ Books My Kid Loves
In this blog, a kids’ lit lover writes about children’s books of old that she shares with her son. Vintage illustrations from each book are also featured. (How great is that?) I added this one to my reading list after it got a recent plug in ShelfTalker: A Children’s Bookseller’s Blog (another blog I read and enjoy).

So, there’s my list. I hope you find some blogs here that you like—and if you know of any good blogs that I missed, please pass on the URLs!
